Shakespeare on Trial
On Tuesday 2nd October 2018, four students from UHS sixth form attended a three-day course at The Shakespeare Globe Theatre, National Justice Museum and Brunel University for A level students considering pursuing a degree in law.
The programme bought both literature and the legal system to life by subjecting full-realised fictional characters to in-depth examination. They used a play as visual and textural evidence, and gave the young people the opportunity to experience both the world of the theatre and the drama and theatrically of the courtroom.
The course provided the students with the opportunity to experience what it would be like to study in a university environment, as well as visiting London’s iconic Royal Courts of Justice.
