St Saviour’s Church, Knightsbridge
We thoroughly enjoyed the annual theatre trip to see our regional theatre partner, Intermission Youth Theatre, perform ‘Guilt Trip’ on Thursday 1st November 2018.
The play was a version of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ by William Shakespeare, but was set on a holiday in Messina in 2018. The play was funny and insightful, and as always, blended the original Shakespeare text with modern day language used by young people.
Year 10 drama students will now use the experience to write about the production elements and performance skills they saw and evaluate the effects on the audience, in preparation for the component 3 exam.
One of the special moments was to see alumni students, Donnavon Yates and Ian Gordon, take on the main roles of Leonato and Claudio in this production and impress the younger students with their skills.
Our link to Intermission is always inspiring our students and we look forward to our next trip.
